Forthcoming events
Biggar u3a holds monthly open meetings on the last Thursday of the month from September to April at 2pm at Biggar Bowling Club, Edinburgh Road. The club is accessed by a lane opposite the new housing at Pentland Reach and has a good sized car park.
Our 2023-4 season included some very interesting talks and also some very enjoyable social get togethers for St Andrew's Day and for Burn's Day.
At the end of each meeting we have an opportunity for hot drinks, biscuits and socialising.
Non members are welcome to attend up to two of our open meetings to see whether or not they might like to join. Open meetings are also a great opportunity to come along and find out more about our u3a.
In addition, we hold occasional special events open to all members - such as trips away, or special meals or tenpin bowling.
Recent events have included a trip to the Enchanted Forest at Pitlochry and our annual Christmas Dinner.
