Biggar u3a holds monthly open meetings from September to April. For the 2026-7 season these will take place on the fourth Thursday of the month at 2pm. During the refurbishment of Biggar Bowling Club in Autumn 2026, our meetings will take place at St Mary's Hall, Biggar Kirk.
Our 2025-26 season included some very interesting talks and also some very enjoyable social get togethers for St Andrew's Day and for Burn's Day.
At the end of each meeting we have an opportunity for hot drinks, biscuits and socialising.
Non members are welcome to attend up to two of our open meetings to see whether or not they might like to join. Open meetings are also a great opportunity to come along and find out more about our u3a.
In addition, we hold occasional special events open to all members - such as trips away, or special meals or tenpin bowling.
Recent events have included a trip to the Enchanted Forest at Pitlochry and our annual Christmas Dinner.
